This is not the place for absolute Thai-language beginners. Do the beginning work with one or more of the Resources mentioned, and then come back here for more.
NOTE: Most teachers of Thai emphasize that transliteration (e.g. "sawatdee") is only a bridge for the beginner, and is to be discarded as soon as possible. We agree with this, and therefore use little or no transliteration at this website. You can learn the correct pronunciation of words through the accompanying sound files, and we will also occasionally use the Thai method for indicating the correct pronunciation in Thai script. However, to use this Thai method correctly, you must be able to read Thai!
This website is an amateur production, so don't expect the stuff you would find from high-priced Web pros. Especially no graphics, video, roll-overs, whatever. This is a site about language and it features language.
By the way, you should realize that the MP3 files are easy to download and install in your own portable device. You don't have to sit here in front of your computer and practice your Thai!
